While people are waiting for Skype on Windows Phone, the company has released a new update for their app on the Symbian platform.

Version 2.1.23 is now live for all Symbian^3 devices and weighs about 7MB in size. While there is no official change-log available, we can confirm that the app supports Nokia Belle devices (701,700,600,603) as well. The app earlier wasn’t supported by Belle, and it seems that the new update does the trick.

Also upon testing, we have found that there is no video call support, so a bit of a letdown. The app is available on the Nokia Store for free. To download the Skype app for your Symbian devices, click here.
