The new service operations are supported by trained personnel, dedicated tools, equipment, and spare parts, providing RED camera customers in India with access to local repairs and technical assistance.
The company has established a dedicated RED service center in Mumbai, with six Nikon India branch service locations, including Mumbai, serving as drop-off and collection points for RED customers across the country.
Nikon says the initiative is part of its long-term commitment to India’s professional imaging market, particularly in the South and West regions, which have a strong presence in high-end filmmaking.
RED DSMC3 Repair & Support Services In India
At launch, Nikon India’s authorized local repair services will cover eligible products from RED Digital Cinema’s current DSMC3 range.
Support for other RED products may vary depending on the product generation, repair requirements, technical capabilities, and availability of replacement parts.
The Mumbai service center will handle authorized RED repairs, while Nikon’s branch service network will provide additional drop-off and collection facilities.
The company aims to improve service accessibility, streamline technical support, and reduce operational inconvenience for professional and aspiring filmmakers using RED cinema equipment.
