Yet another good news for the Symbian fraternity !!

Swype Inc. in collaboration with Nokia today announced the launch of Swype Beta especially targeted for its Symbian users. The USP of Swype is it’s capability of faster and easier way to input text on any screen. A phenomenal speed of 40 words per minute can be achieved through the continuous finger or stylus motion across the screen keyboard. A wide range of devices such as phones, tablets, game consoles, kiosks, televisions, virtual screens, etc. can be greatly benefitted by this application.

The significant features of Swype Beta are mentioned below –
1. Swype easy to learn with the help of its Standard QWERTY keyboard layout.
2. Swype’s amazing input path analyzer allows you to go fast and sloppy with the use of a stylus or finger.
3. Double tap Editing feature to suggest mistakes for a wrongly typed word.
4. Automatic features for Spacing, Capitalization, Help & Correction.
5. Instant access to Symbols, Numbers and Editing functions.
6. A Learning Dictionary covering 65,000 + words, and a special feature of auto-remember for future use.

The Installation features, Demonstration videos, Tips & Tricks and FAQs can be accessed here.

It indeed appears to be an exciting stage for Swype to have Noka Beta Labs accompany them in testing next generation of text input for Symbian users. And, for the end-users, it doesn’t get any better resulting in a Win-Win Situation.
