Nothing has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming Nothing Phone (4b) smartphone. The device will debut in India and global markets on 7 July 2026 at 4:00 PM IST (11:00 BST), marking the introduction of a completely new smartphone tier within the company’s portfolio.
The Phone (4b) will be the first device in Nothing’s newly introduced “b” Series, which is designed to serve as a more accessible entry point into the Nothing ecosystem while retaining the brand’s distinctive design philosophy and user experience.
A New Tier in the Nothing Lineup
Nothing has recently confirmed its revised naming strategy, where numbers represent product generations and letters indicate different market segments.
Under this structure:
- Flagship devices remain under the main Phone series
- The A Series continues as the company’s premium mid-range lineup
- The new B Series becomes a more accessible segment aimed at reaching a broader audience
According to Nothing, the Phone (4b) is intended to deliver the core Nothing experience to a new generation of users without compromising the brand’s identity.
Engineering Sketches Reveal Early Design Details
Alongside the launch announcement, Nothing shared a set of internal engineering sketches that provide a glimpse into the development process behind the upcoming smartphone.
While the company has not officially revealed specifications, the sketches highlight several notable design elements.
One illustration showcases a complex circular internal structure featuring precisely measured components with dimensions as small as 2.5 mm and 3 mm. The detailed measurements suggest a focus on manufacturing precision and efficient internal space utilization.
The sketches also confirm a dual rear camera setup, consisting of two large circular camera modules positioned on the back panel. A smaller circular cutout appears alongside the camera array, which could house a flash module or another sensor element.
Signature Nothing Design Expected
Additional diagrams reveal:
- Side-mounted physical buttons
- Bottom-mounted port placement
- Segmented internal architecture
- Semi-transparent design elements
Internal notes visible within the sketches include labels such as “FINAL”, “MAIN-UN”, and “SPLIT?”, indicating the device has undergone multiple design validation and optimization stages before launch.
While Nothing has not confirmed whether the Phone (4b) will include a simplified version of the Glyph Interface, the design language appears consistent with previous Nothing smartphones.

Nothing says users can register for launch notifications through its official website and YouTube channel ahead of the announcement. More details regarding specifications, pricing, performance, cameras, and software features are expected to be revealed during the launch event on 7th July 2026.
