After the unexpected legal suit filed by Micromax against OnePlus, the companies have finally reached a mutual agreement to cease the case.

OnePlus has announced that all legal proceedings with Micromax and Cyanogen and the cases have been withdrawn through mutual consent. As such, the OnePlus One devices in India would resume receiving OTA updates from Cyanogen in-line with the other users in markets around the world. However, this is slightly confusing considering that Cyanogen has severed ties with OnePlus globally.

Speaking about the settlement, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager – India, OnePlus, said, “OnePlus remains vindicated of the recent trials and tribulations that has surrounded the company due to legal tussle with Micromax over exclusivity on CyanogenOS. We are happy to confirm that all ‘OnePlus One’ users in India will continue to receive OTA updates from Cyanogen in-line with our users in markets around of the world.”
