Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleOPPO India has started rolling out its August 2026 ColorOS 16 update, bringing new AI-powered creative tools, security enhancements, Home Screen improvements, Currency Converter widgets, and additional updates to Notes, Phone Manager, Storage Cleanup, and hidden app access.
The key highlights include AI Remix Collage, real-time Currency Converter widgets, improved suspicious-app detection, one-tap clearing of notification badges, image annotation in Notes, and enhanced Phone Manager controls.
AI Remix Collage
The new AI Remix Collage feature allows users to transform photos into personalised sticker sets, mood boards, and collages. It combines Smart Cutout with customisable outline styles and layer controls, allowing users to move and arrange individual elements beyond the original photo frame.
Enhanced Security and Phone Manager
ColorOS 16 now allows Phone Manager to detect and block suspicious application activity, including malicious pop-ups, abnormal power consumption, and unusual attempts to control the device.
Users receive real-time alerts when suspicious activity is detected and blocked. OPPO has also added options to customise frequently used Phone Manager tools for quicker access.
Home Screen and Currency Converter Widgets
ColorOS 16 adds a new shortcut for clearing notification badges. Users can perform a two-finger pinch-out gesture on the Home Screen to clear all app notification badges at once without having to dismiss notifications individually.
The update also introduces 2 x 2 and 4 x 2 Currency Converter widgets, which display real-time exchange rates directly on the Home Screen. The widgets can be useful when travelling, shopping internationally, or tracking expenses in different currencies.
Notes and Other Improvements
The Notes app now allows users to draw, highlight, and annotate directly on images.
OPPO has also reorganised the Storage Cleanup page with clearer categories to make it easier to identify and remove unnecessary files. Hidden apps can now be accessed through floating windows as part of the update.
