OPPO India has officially revealed key design and feature details of its upcoming OPPO Reno16 Series, introducing what it calls India’s First HoloVerse 3D Design along with a new AI Snap Key. The new lineup aims to blend premium aesthetics, AI-powered productivity, durability, and a slim form factor while continuing the Reno Series’ focus on trend-driven smartphone design. The Reno16 Series, which includes the Reno16 and Reno16c, will be available in Starry White, Twilight Violet, and Stellar Purple color options.
India’s First HoloVerse 3D Design
The biggest design highlight of the Reno16 Series is the new 3D Pop Planet Design, which debuts exclusively on the Starry White variant.
According to OPPO, the design uses its proprietary HoloVerse 3D Technology, creating a naked-eye 3D effect that makes a celestial planet appear to float beneath the smartphone’s surface. The visual effect changes dynamically based on viewing angle and lighting conditions, giving the phone a unique appearance from every perspective.
The effect is achieved through a dual-layer optical structure consisting of:
- Graphic layer
- Precision microlens array
- Tens of millions of lithographic microlenses
- Dynamic light manipulation technology
OPPO says the result is a floating stereoscopic effect that introduces a new level of depth and dimensionality to smartphone design.

Complementing the new design language are additional visual elements including:
- Floating 3D Glitter finish
- Dynamic Stellar Ring around the camera module
- Seamless one-piece cold-sculpted design
Together, these design elements aim to create a more premium and distinctive appearance while maintaining the Reno Series’ fashionable identity.
AI Snap Key Makes Reno Series Debut
Another major addition is the introduction of the new AI Snap Key, appearing on the Reno Series for the first time. The side-mounted shortcut key is designed to provide instant access to productivity and AI-powered features.
AI Snap Key Functions include:
- Single press: Save content to Mind Space
- Long press: Record voice notes
- Double press: Launch Mind Space
- Customizable shortcuts
Users can assign actions such as Camera, Flashlight, Translator, Voice recorder, and other frequently used functions.
AI Mind Pilot Brings Multiple AI Models Together
The AI Snap Key works alongside AI Mind Pilot and Mind Space, which bring multiple AI services into a unified experience. Supported AI platforms include Google Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT. OPPO says users can research topics, compare responses, organize information, and retrieve saved content more efficiently through the integrated AI workspace.
The Reno16 Series also focuses heavily on durability – protection features include IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications. According to OPPO, the phones are protected against dust ingress, water splashes, water immersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, high-pressure water jets, and high-temperature water exposure.
The devices also feature an Aerospace-Grade Aluminium Frame, which OPPO claims offers 200% higher yield strength and 36% better drop resistance compared to conventional plastic frames. Additional usability features include Splash Touch and Glove Touch. These technologies allow the display to remain responsive even when used with wet hands or gloves.
