Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleQualcomm has officially introduced the new Dragonwing MBM (Mobile Broadband Multimedia) Family, expanding its Dragonwing hardware portfolio with platforms focused on interactive multimedia experiences, AI acceleration, and advanced connectivity.
Unlike traditional broadband-focused platforms designed mainly for connectivity, the new Dragonwing MBM lineup integrates on-device AI processing, advanced camera pipelines, graphics rendering, display support, and multimedia acceleration.
The new series debuts with two models:
- Dragonwing MBM715
- Dragonwing MBM415
Both are built on a 4nm process but target different performance segments.

Qualcomm Dragonwing MBM715
The Dragonwing MBM715 is the premium-tier platform designed for AI-powered multimedia hubs, advanced smart displays, and interactive broadband devices. It features:
- Qualcomm Kryo CPU up to 2.8 GHz
- Peak 4.2 Gbps 5G download speeds
- Wi-Fi 7 with 320 MHz channels and 4K QAM
- Bluetooth 6.0 support
- LPDDR5x memory support
The platform also integrates:
- Qualcomm Hexagon AI Processor
- Tensor and vector accelerators
- Dedicated generative AI capabilities
For multimedia workloads, the chip includes:
- Triple 12-bit Spectra AI ISP
- Up to 200 MP camera support
- 4K 60 FPS HDR video

The Dragonwing MBM415 is positioned as a mainstream solution for cost-efficient multimedia broadband devices, retail interfaces, and smart service terminals.

- Peak 2.5Gbps download speeds
- Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 5 support
- Bluetooth 5.3
- Dual 12-bit ISP
- Up to 64MP camera support

The platform focuses on lower power consumption, efficient multimedia connectivity, and simplified imaging workloads.
Wi-Fi 7 & Next-Gen Wireless Features
The MBM715 introduces:

- 5.8 Gbps peak wireless throughput
- Bluetooth 6.0 with LE Audio
- Channel Sounding support
Qualcomm says these additions are designed to reduce latency, improve real-time responsiveness, and enable proximity-aware wireless experiences.
On-Device Generative AI Support
One of the biggest highlights of the MBM7 Series is native Large Language Model (LLM) support. The platform’s Hexagon Processor, Tensor accelerators, and AI engines allow developers to run local AI assistants, generative AI models, and edge-based AI workflows through Qualcomm AI Hub without relying heavily on cloud processing.
Advanced Multimedia Pipeline
The MBM715 is also optimized for simultaneous camera processing, display rendering, and graphics acceleration. It supports computational HDR, low-light enhancement, video super-resolution, and 4K HDR playback using the integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU and Triple Spectra AI ISP. Meanwhile, the MBM415 focuses on standard multimedia experiences and efficient 120 Hz FHD+ operation.
Flexible OS Support
Qualcomm says the Dragonwing MBM platforms support Android and Linux distributions, allowing OEMs to customize user interfaces, networking stacks, and memory configurations depending on deployment requirements across consumer, industrial, and commercial environments.
