Xiaomi India has launched the REDMI 17C 5G in India, expanding its REDMI 17 Series with a large 6.9-inch display, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 6,000 mAh battery. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and comes with up to 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and support for 5G connectivity.
The REDMI 17C 5G runs Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and is promised two years of software updates and four years of security updates. Other highlights include a 50 MP rear camera, 8 MP selfie camera, IP64 rating, and 33W fast charging.
6.9-inch 120 Hz Display | Dimensity 6300 | 6,000 mAh Battery
The REDMI 17C 5G comes with a 6.9-inch HD+ display offering a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 660 nits typical brightness and 810 nits HBM brightness.
The display also supports DC dimming and comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free certifications. The phone has a waterdrop-style notch at the top of the display that houses the front-facing camera.
The smartphone will be available in Coffee Brew, Purple Dawn, and Dark Night colors. The Coffee Brew variant features a warm brown vegan leather finish. It is 7.99 mm slim, weighs 211 grams, and carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance alongside a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the REDMI 17C 5G is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. It uses two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2 GHz, paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
The smartphone is available with 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM, while its 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage can be expanded by up to 1 TB using a microSD card. Xiaomi also supports memory expansion with up to an additional 6 GB of RAM.
The REDMI 17C 5G packs a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It also supports 10W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to power compatible devices.

For photography, the REDMI 17C 5G features a 50 MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
