Xiaomi says, this is “The Fastest REDMI Yet”, highlighting major upgrades across performance, gaming, display, battery life, camera capabilities, and durability. One of the biggest highlights of the REDMI Turbo 5 is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra flagship performance chipset. Built on TSMC’s advanced 4nm manufacturing process, the processor features an all-big-core architecture clocked at up to 3.4 GHz and is paired with the ARM Mali-G720 MC8 GPU and MediaTek NPU 880. Xiaomi claims AnTuTu benchmark scores exceeding 2.3 million points, positioning the smartphone among the fastest devices in its category.
The chipset is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 Storage technologies for faster app launches, improved multitasking, and quicker data transfers. Xiaomi says the smartphone is designed to deliver desktop-grade responsiveness, allowing users to work, game, stream, and multitask simultaneously without slowdowns. The device is available in two variants – 8 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage with additional virtual RAM up to +12 GB, making a total of 24 GB RAM.
To maintain sustained peak performance, the REDMI Turbo 5 features Xiaomi’s advanced REDMI 3D Ice Loop Cooling System. The thermal architecture incorporates a large 5,300 mm² stainless steel Loop Heat Pipe (LHP) cooling solution combined with graphite layers, which Xiaomi claims delivers up to three times better cooling efficiency compared to conventional vapor chamber cooling systems. The smartphone also introduces WildBoost Optimization technology, dynamically adjusting CPU, GPU, and memory frequencies to maintain stable frame rates, lower power consumption, and improved gaming performance under heavy workloads.
The REDMI Turbo 5 adopts a premium flagship design featuring a dual-sided glass construction, an aerospace-grade metal central frame, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Xiaomi has also integrated its new REDMI Pixel Matrix lighting system around the rear camera module. Battery life is another major highlight of the REDMI Turbo 5. The smartphone packs the largest battery ever fitted in a REDMI smartphone, featuring a massive 7,540 mAh Silicon-Carbon Battery housed within an 8.18 mm slim body. Xiaomi claims up to 2.3 days of battery life under moderate usage while retaining over 80% battery health after 1,600 charge cycles, translating to more than five years of dependable performance.
Charging duties are handled by a 100W Xiaomi HyperCharge support (100W charger included in the box), capable of charging the smartphone from 0 to 100% in approximately 70 minutes. The device also supports 27W wired reverse charging, allowing users to charge accessories and compatible devices directly from the smartphone. Xiaomi has integrated its self-developed Surge P3 charging chip and Surge G1 battery management chip, alongside Battery Health Management 2.0, Night Intelligent Charging 2.0, and Battery Aging Prediction technologies to maximize battery longevity.
