Reliance One India One Rate plan launched, tariff war heating up

Reliance has just announced the “One India One Rate” plan, under which users all over India can now enjoy identical call rates. The new One India One Rate plan will be available for both pre-paid and post-paid customers. Reliance has also made incoming calls free on roaming all over India.

Post-paid users can enjoy the One India One Rate plan via two rental options. The Rs. 599 plan brings  1,200 mins of free outgoing calls (Roaming, STD, Local), subsequent charge of 30p/min for Roaming, STD & Local, unlimited national incoming roaming free; 2GB data and free 100 SMS’. There’s also the Rs. 350 plan, which gives you 700 mins of free outgoing calls (Roaming, STD, Local), subsequent charge of 40 p/min for Roaming, STD & Local, 200 free incoming national roaming mins, 1GB data and 100 SMS’ free

The pre-paid customers can recharge with Rs. 45 to avail the One India One Rate plan. Under this plan, customers get free incoming calls on roaming and the outgoing rates remain the same as your normal STD, local call rates, which is 40p/min. The validity of this plan is one month

Reliance has been consistently bringing some great value for money offers. It recently brought about the 3G@2G plan, which brought 3G data at 2G prices. Now, the One India One Rate plans should surely heat up the tariff wars and from the way things look, Reliance surely has the upper hand here.
