Samsung and de GRISOGONO team up to create limited edition Gear S2 sculpted in gold
Samsung has teamed up with de GRISOGONO to create a limited edition of the Samsung Gear S2. For those unaware, de GRISOGONO is a glamorous jewelry and watchmaker. Both, Samsung and de GRISOGONO will co-create the Samsung Gear S2 by de GRISOGONO which is a limited edition.
This smartwatch has been turned into a glamorous fashion accessory together by Samsung and de GRISOGONO. It comes in Rose Gold and comes studded with 100 black and white diamonds along with de GRISOGONO signature galuchat. Just like the normal Gear S2, the gold bezel turns around the dial letting users access all of Gear S2’s applications, notifications, etc.
“The combination of style and substance is inherent in every Samsung device. This dynamic partnership builds on this heritage by merging Samsung’s barrier breaking technology with de GRISOGONO’s signature style to create a smartwatch as unique as the wearer.” said Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.
“de GRISOGONO has always been associated with daring products and a visionary approach to High Jewellery and watches. Designing a connected watch with Samsung has been an incredible experience for both brands. Samsung brought to the table the best and most intuitive technology, while de Grisogono brought its glamorous design and craftsmanship expertise. The resulting Samsung Gear S2 by de Grisogono clearly embodies all of our boldness in watch design and our jewellery savoir-faire, while maintaining all of Samsung’s technological capabilities and intuitive usage. This watch will take an honourable place alongside de GRISOGONO’s Meccanico, Otturatore and Occhio, as another of our brand’s revolutionary approaches to displaying time.” said Fawaz Gruosi Founder and Creative Director, de GRISOGONO.
There’s no word on the pricing yet. But hey, you can use your imagination to assume its price. This limited edition Gear S2 will make its debut at Baselworld 2016 and will be available for purchase starting this summer from Samsung and de GRISOGONO’s retail channels. The specifications are unchanged and are similar to that of the normal Gear S2 smartwatch.
