Apple has filed yet another lawsuit. This time Apple is suing Samsung and say that Samsung has copied the design and looks of their products including the iPad and the iPhone. The lawsuit shows comparisons of the Apple iPhone 3GS and the Galaxy S i9000 showing the similarities in design. Apple also showed photos and claiming that Samsung has copied Apple’s packaging and icons for software applications such as music, phone, texting, and contacts.
“Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple’s technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products,” this was quoted in the lawsuit filed by Apple.
Apple has been fighting cases with Microsoft and Nokia and now Samsung has joined the league. A spokes person from Samsung said that “Samsung’s development of core technologies and strengthening our intellectual property portfolio are keys to our continued success.” He also added that they will respond to the allegations quickly.
