While there have been quite a few rumours and leaks pointing to a new A-series of Samsung smartphones, the company has now officially announced the first two handsets – the Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Samsung Galaxy A5.
Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Samsung Galaxy A5, which belong to the new A-series which has a refreshing new design. The smartphones are touted to be the company’s slimmest smartphones till now and flaunt a full metal unibody design. Both the handsets are 4G ready but would depend on the local market.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 sports a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED display and the Samsung Galaxy A5 has a slightly bigger 5 inch Super AMOLED display. Both the smartphones are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with 16 GB of internal storage. The Galaxy A3 has just 1 GB of RAM whereas the Galaxy A5 has 2 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 has an 8 MP rear facing camera whereas the Samsung Galaxy A5 has a massive 13 MP rear facing camera. Both the smartphones have a 5 MP front facing camera with a wide-angle lens for better selfies. The handsets are available in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold colour options and are expected to be released in November 2014.
