Samsung India has officially confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G will launch in India on 29th June. The smartphone joins Samsung’s popular Galaxy M Series lineup and is aimed at users looking for a combination of gaming performance, long battery life, AI-powered features, and extended software support. The device will be available through Amazon.in and the Samsung India online store following its launch.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and LPDDR5X RAM
Powering the Galaxy M47 5G is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, built on a 4 nm manufacturing process. Samsung says the processor is paired with LPDDR5X RAM, helping improve multitasking performance, application responsiveness, and overall power efficiency.
To improve sustained gaming performance, Samsung has also included Bypass Charging support. When enabled during gaming sessions, power is supplied directly to the device rather than charging the battery simultaneously, helping reduce heat generation and minimize thermal throttling.
120 Hz Super AMOLED Display
The Galaxy M47 5G features a large 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Samsung says the display is designed to deliver smooth scrolling, improved gaming responsiveness better streaming experience, and enhanced touch responsiveness. For durability, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, which Samsung claims offers significantly improved scratch resistance and drop protection.
6,000 mAh Battery With 45W Fast Charging
Battery life is another major focus of the Galaxy M47 5G. The smartphone packs a 6,000 mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging support, allowing users to spend less time connected to a charger while supporting extended gaming, entertainment, and productivity usage throughout the day.
50 MP OIS Camera With Nightography
For photography, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M47 5G with a triple rear camera system led by a 50 MP main camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Key camera highlights include 50 MP primary camera, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Nightography imaging features, reduced blur during handheld photography, and improved low-light image capture. On the front, the device features a 12 MP HDR selfie camera designed to improve exposure handling in challenging lighting conditions. Samsung has also confirmed support for 4K video recording.
One UI 8.5 Based on Android 16
The Galaxy M47 5G will ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. Samsung is also promising one of the longest software support policies in the segment:

Availability
Samsung has confirmed two color options: Rogue Red and Blaze Blue. The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G will launch in India on 29th June 2026 and will be available on Amazon.in and Samsung’s official online channels.
