Even while the Galaxy S8 series is doing successfully, Samsung is apparently said to be working on the rugged variant of the flagship – the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active.
According to a leaked User Agent String, Samsung is working a handset bearing model number SM-G892A. Sources in the know indicate that this is the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, which is the rugged variant of the flagship smartphone with water, drop and dust protection and a bigger battery.
While there are no clear details available about the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, based on earlier versions, we believe that the handset would retain the same specs as seen in the flagship Galaxy S8. However, seeing the intrinsic design of the flagship, it is hard to imagine the design changes that Samsung would have to make to get a rugged handset.
