After a surprisingly long wait, Samsung has finally started rolling out the much awaited Android Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge.android-6-0-marshmallow

Samsung has announced that it has started rolling out the Android v6.0 Marshmallow update for its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge users internationally. The update brings the goodness of Android Marshmallow with the flavour of the company’s TouchWIz UI. The update is being rolled out gradually and is expected to hit users (including those in India) by the end of this week.

The Android v6.0 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge adds the Doze mode, which improves standby battery performance, and Google Now on Tap, which provides contextual information about whatever you have on your screen. So if you are a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge user, head over to Settings and check if you have received the latest update.
