The slim and curvy Xperia Arc has been updated. Yes, Sony Ericsson has announced an updated version of the Xperia Arc at the IFA called the Xperia Arc S which will be hitting markets in October. You won’t see any design upgrade, however the processor has been upgraded. (Still no dual-core though)

The handset will now boast a 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor which will be a boost of about 40% on processing power. The handset will have the same looks; however the software has been updated. Also the 8.1 megapixel camera will include a 3D sweep panorama mode that lets you use the phone’s 2D camera to generate 3D images for viewing over HDMI on compatible displays.
