Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleSpotify has launched Memberships, a feature that allows eligible podcast creators to offer paid subscriptions with exclusive content and other benefits. The feature is rolling out in 34 markets and is available to shows hosted on Spotify for Creators or Megaphone that meet the platform’s eligibility requirements.
First previewed at Spotify’s Investor Day earlier this year, Memberships adds another monetization option for podcast creators alongside advertising, sponsorships, and the Spotify Partner Program.

Spotify Memberships Features
Spotify Memberships allows creators to set up multiple membership tiers with different pricing and benefits. Depending on the offering, members can receive exclusive audio or video content, bonus episodes, fewer ads, early access to episodes, and access to a show’s archive.
In supported markets, Spotify Free and Premium users can discover membership options on a show’s Spotify page, complete the checkout process, and access members-only content without leaving the platform.
The feature also supports member badges displayed when commenting on episodes. Creators can welcome new members through welcome clips.

Tools for Promoting & Managing Memberships
Spotify is providing creators with tools to promote memberships, track sign-ups, and manage relationships with members. These include targeted promotions, free trials, analytics showing what drives sign-ups, and exportable member data.
The exportable data includes contact information from fans who choose to share it, allowing creators to manage audience relationships both on and off Spotify.
Podcast Creators Launching Memberships
Creators introducing Memberships at launch include The Adam Friedland Show, Making Sense with Sam Harris, The Shawn Ryan Show, Two Hot Takes, The Sculpt Society, and YMH Studios.
YMH Studios is bringing Memberships to 12 shows across its network. Participating creators can offer exclusive episodes, early access, behind-the-scenes content, and other benefits to paying members.

Spotify Memberships Revenue Share and Eligibility
Spotify says creators retain 90% of the revenue generated through Memberships, providing a recurring revenue option directly tied to paying fans.
To qualify, a show hosted on Spotify for Creators or Megaphone must meet all three requirements:
- Have at least three published episodes.
- Have at least 100 listeners or viewers.
- Accumulate at least 100 hours of consumption on Spotify during the previous 30 days.
Eligible creators can set up Memberships through Spotify for Creators or Megaphone.
