Twitter has today announced the launch of a new version of its app for the Windows Phone OS which in addition to the new design, also brings the app ‘in-line’ with other Twitter apps.
The new update includes various new features which will make it easier for Windows Phone users to discover and share content much easily than ever. The UI on Windows Phone now closely matches that on the iOS and Android OS, with a tabbed user interface, which includes four icons which viz. Home, Connect, Discover and Me.
Twitter for Windows Phone users can now compose a Tweet or search from anywhere in the app, using the new icon buttons in the Application Bar and you can now pin Twitter accounts, lists and searches to your start screen thus giving you quick access to some of your favorite Twitter content.
