vivo India has announced the India launch of the vivo V80, its the new V-Series smartphone set to debut on 6th October 2026, at 12:00 PM. The smartphone focuses on ZEISS-powered imaging, a high-refresh-rate OLED display, a larger battery and new AI-powered camera and productivity features. The company has also confirmed that the vivo V80 will be the first V-Series smartphone in India to ship with OriginOS 7. The smartphone will launch alongside the new vivo S2 FE.

50 MP ZEISS Cameras | AI Creative Features

The vivo V80 features a triple rear camera setup co-engineered with ZEISS, including a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera using the Sony LYTIA 700V sensor, a 50 MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera with the Sony IMX882 sensor, and an 8 MP ZEISS ultra-wide-angle camera.

The 50 MP telephoto camera supports optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom. vivo also highlights ZEISS portrait capabilities, including 85 mm portrait framing and a 100 mm Center-Stage Portrait mode.

At the front, the phone features a 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie camera with autofocus and a 92° wide-angle field of view. The camera system supports features such as AI Creation, Night, Portrait, Film Camera and high-resolution photography.

For video recording, the V80 supports 4K Cinematic Video and 4K video recording at 60 fps. The phone also gets three cinematic video styles and supports OIS during 4K 60 fps recording.

AI Creative Camera | AI Diwali Portrait 2.0

The vivo V80 introduces an AI Creative Camera with more than 30 AI-powered creative effects. It also supports Live Sticker Collage, which can turn elements from live photos into personalized sticker-style compositions.

The phone also brings AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, which is designed to enhance festive portraits with warmer lighting and elements such as Rangoli and Toran. Other AI tools include Pet Pals, Snap Note and Security Shield.

1.5K OLED Display | 144 Hz Refresh Rate

The vivo V80 features a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2,750 x 1,260 pixels) and up to a 144 Hz refresh rate.

The panel supports 1.07 billion colors and has a claimed 5,000 nits local peak brightness. vivo has also included an ultra-low brightness mode that can reduce the display to 1 nit for use in darker environments.

The display has slim 1.25 mm bezels, according to vivo’s promotional material. The 144 Hz refresh rate is supported by selected applications.

One-Piece Glass Design

The vivo V80 uses a one-piece cold-carved glass rear panel with a floating camera module. The smartphone is available in three color options: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black.

The device is as slim as 7.69 mm and weighs 203 grams despite packing a large 7,200 mAh battery. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

7,200 mAh Battery | 90W FlashCharge

Powering the vivo V80 is a 7,200 mAh battery, which vivo describes as the largest battery capacity in its V-Series lineup.

The company claims up to 14 hours of navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback under its laboratory test conditions. The phone supports 90W FlashCharge, with vivo claiming that the battery can reach 50% charge in 30 minutes using Fast Charging Mode.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 | OriginOS 7

The vivo V80 is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, featuring an octa-core CPU with a maximum clock speed of 2.8 GHz. vivo has also included up to 16 GB of Extended RAM through software optimization, while storage uses UFS 3.1.

The V80 will run the new Android 17 with OriginOS 7, the first vivo smartphone to run the latest OriginOS. For security, the smartphone features a 3D ultrasonic single-point fingerprint sensor. vivo also promises up to 6 years of extended security updates.
