The vivo V80 is positioned around three major areas – design, camera capabilities, and performance. vivo is also introducing several AI-powered creative and productivity features, including AI Creative Camera, Live Sticker Collage, AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, Pet Pals, Snap Notes, and Security Shield.
vivo V80: Design, Display, & Ergonomics
Starting with the design, the vivo V80 brings a new one-piece cold-carved glass construction that gives the smartphone a more refined and premium appearance. vivo has also introduced a redesigned floating camera module, giving the rear panel a distinctive look while maintaining a clean overall design.
The camera module is one of the most noticeable elements of the V80. Rather than using a conventional rectangular camera island, vivo has opted for a floating-style camera design that complements the appearance of the rear panel. The company is positioning the design around the idea of being “Cinematic in Motion. Iconic in Portrait“.
On the front, the V80 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with an impressive 144 Hz refresh rate. The panel also offers up to 5,000 nits local peak brightness, support for 1.07 billion colors, and ultra-low 1 nit brightness for nighttime use. vivo says the display can automatically dim to 1 nit in dark environments, while its Paper-Like Display feature is designed to provide a more comfortable reading experience
The vivo V80 will be available in three color options:
- Sunrise Anthem – inspired by the warmth of first light (as you can see in the images)
- Horizon Blue – designed around a deep, serene blue finish
- Stellar Black – a sleek and understated black finish

Camera performance remains one of the biggest highlights of the vivo V80. The smartphone features a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera based on the Sony LYTIA 700V sensor, along with a 50 MP ZEISS Night Telephoto Camera based on the Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS and 3x optical zoom. The rear camera system is complemented by a ZEISS ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, the V80 gets a 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with a 92-degree wide-angle lens, autofocus, and 0.8x-2x free zoom. After distortion correction, vivo specifies an effective captured field of view of 90 degrees.

Battery life is another major upgrade on the vivo V80. The smartphone packs a 7,200 mAh typical-capacity battery, making it the largest battery offered in a vivo V-Series smartphone. vivo claims up to 14 hours of navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback. The V80 also supports 90W FlashCharge, with vivo claiming that the phone can reach 50% charge in around 30 minutes when using Fast Charging Mode.
The 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display is another major highlight of the vivo V80. With a 144 Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits local peak brightness, and support for 1.07 billion colors, the panel is designed to deliver a combination of smoothness, clarity and high outdoor visibility. For nighttime viewing, vivo has focused on reducing brightness rather than simply increasing it. The display can go down to 1 nit, while the Paper-Like Display feature is designed to make reading more comfortable in dark environments.
On the software side, the vivo V80 will run OriginOS 7, bringing a number of personalization, AI and security features. These include Pet Pals, StickIt, Wiggle Theme, Snap Notes, and Security Shield. Pet Pals adds an interactive virtual pet to the wallpaper, while StickIt lets you turn photos into custom stickers for your lock and home screens. Wiggle Theme adds dynamic glow and motion effects to the lock screen. Snap Notes is aimed at productivity. You can photograph a whiteboard or handwritten notes, after which AI can convert the captured content into editable and structured documents.
