Now a 3G Android phone can be yours for a little under Rs. 5000. Vodafone today announced the launch of a Vodafone branded android handset – ‘Vodafone Smart’ which runs on Android Froyo (2.2.1) and is powered by Qualcomm Incorporated’s Snapdragon S1 processor.

Priced at Rs. 4995, ‘Vodafone Smart’ comes with built-in features like 2.8 inch capacitive touch display, 2 mega pixel camera, Video recording and MP4/3GP playback, up to 32GB expandable Memory (2GB card Free), Stereo FM and MP3. Other features includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi tethering, Accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors.

Android is an awesome OS, but I could not feel its awesomeness on some of the low cost Android devices because of their hardware. Vodafone Smart specs look good, let’s see how it will perform.

‘Vodafone Smart’ is available at all leading retail outlets, Vodafone stores and Mini stores across India.

Any takers for Vodafone smart?
