LG Optimus Pad successor’s images leaked

So after a long gap we are back with a leaked device and this time around it’s LG who has seen its device’s pictures getting leaked. And the device in question is said to be LG Optimus Pad or G-Slate’s successor.

The tablet is going to be out with LTE which is confirmed on the startup screen. It is said to run on a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm processor, will feature an 8.9 inch TFT screen with a resolution of 1280 x 768. It also has an 8MP camera at the rear and a 1.3MP camera in the front for video calls. The onboard storage is said to be of 1GB but it will include a microSD slot for expandable storage.

The tablet is said to run on Android Honeycomb 3.2.1 but we may also see it launch or at least get an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream after the launch. No detail on the pricing of the tablet and availability is known but we can expect it to ship by the end of the year. Also the features may change at the time of launch as these are only rumoured and based on the prototype you see. Below you can see the Pad strike a pose next to a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.
