With the flagship Mi 5 just a few weeks away from official announcement, a new rumour suggests that Xiaomi may also a Windows Phone variant of the flagship.
According to sources, XIaomi may be working on a variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5 powered by the Windows 10 Mobile OS. The handset is expected to be showcased by the company at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The sources believe that the Windows 10 variant would be exactly the same as the Android variant in terms of design and specs.
Knowing XIaomi’s recent partnerships with Microsoft, a Windows 10 Mobile variant of the Mi 5 sounds quite possible. It had recently released a Windows tablet and even custom made a Windows 10 Mobile ROM for the Mi 4. In fact, it would be a welcome move by the Windows fans, who don’t have many options when it comes to high-end devices.
