Xiaomi has been pretty busy lately with its fifth anniversary sale bringing in record sales and numbers. Well, the company isn’t resting one bit, as it has just announced that it will reveal a new Mi smartphone on April 23 in India.
The Official Mi India twitter account has just shared an invite, which reveals the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone will be a global device. The invite picture says, “i is coming. Global Mi phone premiere in New Delhi.”
This is the first large scale Xiaomi event in India, which gives weight to the company’s claims of India being a major market. Xiaomi’s CEO and founder Bin Lin and VP Global Hugo Barra will be present at the event. The Mi website says, “Witness the first global launch with Mi”, so we can expect something big.
Xiaomi is also giving fans a chance to attend the event. You can register at Mi.com/in with your details and you might get lucky. Lucky Mi fans will get a chance to attend the launch in New Delhi on April 23 along with free goodies and a surprise.
