Sony has been steadily rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for its Xperia devices. It started rolling out the update for the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact earlier this month and now the update is all set to arrive on Xperia Z2 and Z2 tablet.
The Japanese company has just announced that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is coming to the Xperia Z2 and Z2 tablet is coming next week. The company has also revealed that the update is going live for the Z3 and Z3 Compac in more regions now.
Once the Xperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet are updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 will be getting the update.
Android 5.0 Lollipop update brings a number of notable features we already know about and Sony’s adding its own set of features. Check out the full feature list:

- New look notifications and lock screen – with fully customizable settings, so you only get the information you really need.
- Multi user profiles and guest mode – making it easy for family and friends to use your device, or the creation of dual environments for work and play.
- Android for Work – not only are business-ready Xperia smartphones and tablets unique devices for work – with waterproof form factors, great battery life and productivity features – they will now also be part of the Android for Work ecosystem.
- Better storage control and customisation – with the option to easily move applications from internal memory to SD card – giving you more control over your content, particularly useful for devices with slightly less space.
