South Korean tech giant LG has already confirmed that it’s going to unveil a smartphone at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 that kicks off later this month. But, this isn’t going to be LG G7, rather, LG will be unveiling LG V30 (2018) with a suite of AI technologies. However, according to a latest report, LG is going to unveil another flagship smartphone later in June which will be a successor to last year’s G6, but, it won’t be called G7.

According to a report by VentureBeat, LG is going to launch a flagship smartphone in June which is currently codenamed “Judy”. According to the report, this smartphone will come with a “brand new design”, and, will sport a 6.1-inch Full Vision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Moreover, LG will be using what’s called MLCD+ panel for the display that has RGBW matrix which gives 800-nits of brightness while consuming 35% less power than other traditional IPS LCD panels.

That said, being a flagship smartphone, the LG Judy will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 845 chip. For those unaware, last year’s LG G6 was powered by Snapdragon 821 instead of Snapdragon 835 because Samsung had the entire stock. Thankfully, that won’t be the case this time.

The Snapdragon 845 will be laced with 4 GB RAM while having 64 GB of storage on board. Yes, 4 GB of RAM might seem low for many, especially when phones have started coming with 8 GB of RAM, hence, there’s a possibility of LG launching a Plus variant with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage later on.

Other specifications of LG Judy include 16 MP dual cameras at the back with an impressive f/1.6 aperture, IP68 dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, HDR10, wireless charging, digital assistant, and, AI-based camera.

There’s no word on its pricing, but we should hear more about this smartphone in the coming months. Especially after MWC 2018 concludes.
