Telecom operator Idea has announced its partnership with Japanese electronics brand Panasonic to offer cashback of ₹1500 to those who purchase the Panasonic P100 smartphone. The Panasonic P100 is a budget smartphone that was launched in India more than a week ago at a starting price of ₹5299.
The Panasonic P100 comes in 1 GB and 2 GB RAM variants. The former is priced at ₹5299 while the latter costs you ₹5999. However, with Idea’s cashback of ₹1500, the effective price of the Panasonic P100 1 and 2 GB RAM variants comes down to ₹3799 and ₹4499 respectively.
That said, the total cashback of ₹1500 is offered to customers after 24 months, and, it is divided into installments of ₹300 and ₹1200. Also, to be eligible for cashback, Idea customers will have to do cumulative recharge of ₹2500 during the first 12 months to get cashback of ₹300, and then do recharges of the same amount in the next 12 months to get the remaining ₹1200.
To get this cashback, Idea customers have to do a minimum recharge of ₹199 every month for 24 months. However, they can also recharge with a higher amount if they want. That said, if Idea customers do a recharge of ₹199, they will be offered benefits like free local and STD voice calls, free roaming, 100 free SMS per day, and, 1 GB of data per day for 28 days.
