Soon after we heard initial reports about Samsung plans to launch the flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in India next week, the company has now sent out press invites.
Samsung India has sent out invites for its upcoming launch event scheduled to be held on March 8. Obviously it is no surprise that the company would announce the 2016 flagships Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge at the event. While we already heard that the company has set aside a Rs. 100 crore budget for promotions, new reports suggest that the flagships may be priced in the Rs. 45000 range, thus increasing the competition.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 has a 5.1 inch quad HD display whereas the Galaxy S7 edge has a 5.5 inch curved edge Quad HD display. While the company launched the flagships with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, we expect the Indian variant to be powered by the Exynos 8 Octa processor. We should have more details about the availability at the launch event.
