Google announced Android O back in March this year during its I/O 2017 conference, and, until now, Google has released two developer previews of O. While the final developer preview will be rolled out after July, there’s no information from Google regarding the final release of Android O. However, according to the latest information, Android O is said to arrive in August.

According to David Ruddock, Managing Editor of Android Police, the final release of Android O will begin rolling out to Pixel smartphones in the first or second week of August. Well, that’s just a couple of days earlier than Android Nougat which was rolled out on August 22 last year.
Also, according to his tweet, it seems that the Pixel smartphones will receive the update before the Nexus 5X and 6P. Well, that can be understood as Google might want to roll out the update to the latest devices first. Besides, Ruddock also mentioned that while this information comes from a reliable source, the release dates are always subject to change for whatever reasons.
Also, chances are that we will see the second generation Pixel smartphones from Google after a month or two from the release of Android O. For now, there’s no word from Google regarding the release date of Android O. Heck, we don’t even know what Android O will be called, hence, for now, all we can do is wait.
