Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleAi+ Smartphone has announced Project Trust+, a long-term cybersecurity initiative aimed at improving smartphone security through collaboration with developers, ethical hackers, and independent security researchers. As part of the initiative, the company has committed ₹100 crore over the next five years, investing ₹20 crore annually to identify, evaluate, and address security vulnerabilities across its mobile ecosystem before they impact end users.
According to Ai+, Project Trust+ is designed to go beyond traditional bug bounty programs by establishing an ongoing collaboration between external security experts and the company’s engineering teams. Rather than rewarding isolated vulnerability reports, the initiative focuses on continuous testing, proactive threat identification, and long-term improvements to the security of Ai+ smartphones and software.
The company says Project Trust+ encourages members of the cybersecurity community to stress-test Ai+ devices, evaluate system architecture, and identify potential weaknesses in real-world scenarios. Feedback collected through the program will be used to strengthen software protections, improve security practices, and resolve vulnerabilities before they are deployed to consumer devices.
Project Trust+ is built around three key objectives:
- Continuous Stress Testing: Inviting independent developers and security researchers to challenge device security through ongoing testing.
- Proactive Vulnerability Mitigation: Identifying and fixing software flaws before they reach users.
- Open Community Collaboration: Encouraging transparency, peer review, and cooperation between external researchers and internal engineering teams.
Ai+ says the initiative reflects its broader commitment to open security frameworks, where community-driven testing plays an important role in strengthening device security rather than relying solely on internal validation processes.
Project Trust+ is also closely aligned with the company’s NxtQuantum OS software strategy. Ai+ describes NxtQuantum OS as a privacy-focused and sovereign mobile operating system designed around user ownership, stronger data protection, and secure mobile experiences. The new security initiative is expected to contribute directly to improving the long-term resilience and security of the platform.
By inviting independent researchers to actively participate in evaluating its products, Ai+ aims to build a more transparent security ecosystem while continuously improving protection against emerging threats.
