Zepp Health has officially introduced Zepp OS 6, the latest version of its wearable operating system designed for Amazfit smartwatches. Debuting on the newly launched Amazfit Balance 3 and Amazfit Balance Ultra, the update focuses on deeper health intelligence, structured athletic training, ecosystem-wide synchronization, and a redesigned user interface. Alongside, Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro and Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra smartwatches launched in India, starting at ₹41,999.

Amazfit Zepp OS 6

One of the biggest highlights of Zepp OS 6 is the introduction of HybridCharge, an evolution of the company’s BioCharge system. The new feature combines structured training metrics with lifestyle and recovery factors to provide a more comprehensive view of overall physical readiness. Through HybridCharge, users can manually log factors such as illness, stress, travel, alcohol consumption, and jet lag using a new LifeLoad tracking system.

Zepp OS 6 also introduces Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) tracking, allowing athletes to rate workout difficulty after training sessions. The operating system combines subjective exertion scores with physiological data such as heart rate and pacing to generate more accurate training load calculations.

To help prevent overtraining, the platform introduces Boundary Reminders, which provide alerts before and during workouts when HybridCharge levels fall below recommended baselines or approach maximum daily strain thresholds.

The update significantly expands Zepp Health’s coaching and workout ecosystem. A new Training Calendar enables users to organize structured workout schedules and synchronize plans from Zepp Training and supported third-party fitness platforms. The accompanying Training Library provides direct access to professionally designed workout plans without requiring manual setup through a smartphone.

Amazfit Zepp OS 6 Features

Following Zepp Health’s partnership with HYROX, Zepp OS 6 introduces dedicated support for hybrid fitness competitions. The operating system now includes HYROX-specific workout modes, quarter-course and half-course simulation templates, Virtual Pace guidance, stage-by-stage workout instructions, and progress tracking for upcoming exercise stations.

For runners and endurance athletes, Zepp OS 6 introduces several advanced performance metrics. The new Grade-Adjusted Pace (GAP) feature automatically adjusts running pace based on terrain elevation changes to provide a more accurate representation of effort. The platform also adds Running Lactate Threshold (LTHR) detection through guided testing or automatic identification during workouts, enabling more personalized training zones and performance analysis.

The operating system debuts a redesigned visual interface called Motion UI, which prioritizes glanceable information, simplified navigation, and improved data organization. The new layout restructures notifications, workout access, app management, and health summaries into a more streamlined navigation system while reducing interface clutter.

Zepp OS 6 also introduces a new Device Lock feature designed to prevent accidental screen interactions during workouts and daily use. An upgraded Daily Briefing provides morning readiness insights, schedule summaries, and evening wellness reviews directly on the watch.

Beyond fitness tracking, Zepp Health is expanding hardware ecosystem integration. Zepp OS 6 can now connect directly with compatible rowing machines, indoor cycling trainers, cadence sensors, and speed sensors, allowing workout metrics to be displayed and recorded directly from the watch.

Another new addition is Gear Management, which automatically tracks usage mileage for equipment such as running shoes and bicycles. The feature can notify users when equipment reaches predefined wear thresholds and may require replacement.

A major ecosystem enhancement arrives through Multi-Device Activity Sync, designed to eliminate fragmentation across multiple Zepp-supported devices. The feature combines steps, calorie expenditure, active minutes, distance traveled, and standing hours collected from different Amazfit products into a single consolidated activity profile.

Zepp Health says the update represents a significant step toward creating a unified fitness and wellness ecosystem that combines recovery monitoring, structured training, health tracking, and intelligent coaching within a single wearable platform.
