Amazfit has expanded its premium sports smartwatch portfolio in India with the launch of the new Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro and Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra. Designed specifically for serious runners, endurance athletes, and outdoor adventurers, the new smartwatches combine advanced training analytics, dual-band GPS positioning, titanium construction, sapphire glass protection, long battery life, and the company’s latest Zepp OS ecosystem.
While the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro is primarily designed for road runners and marathon training, the Cheetah 2 Ultra targets trail runners and ultra-distance athletes who require advanced navigation, mapping, and endurance-focused capabilities.
The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro focuses on structured training and marathon preparation. It features a Grade 5 titanium frame and bottom case paired with sapphire glass protection, offering durability while maintaining a lightweight profile. The smartwatch is equipped with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display capable of reaching up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility even under direct sunlight.
Amazfit has integrated its Zepp Coach training ecosystem, providing adaptive training plans for distances ranging from 3K races to full marathons. The watch supports popular training platforms including TrainingPeaks, Runna, Strava, and Intervals.icu. Advanced running metrics include running power, lactate threshold, pacing analysis, gait tracking, finish-time predictions, VO2 Max estimation, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), fatigue monitoring, sleep tracking, and overall training readiness.
For navigation, the smartwatch utilizes a dual-band multi-satellite positioning system supporting six satellite networks for improved route accuracy. Battery life extends up to 20 days under typical usage conditions and up to 31 hours in accurate GPS mode.
The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra builds upon the Pro model and introduces additional features specifically designed for trail running, mountain racing, and ultra-distance events. It adopts a full Grade 5 titanium construction across the bezel, frame, back cover, and buttons, paired with sapphire glass protection for enhanced durability in harsh outdoor environments.
The Ultra model features a larger 1.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. Amazfit has also included an upgraded dual-mode LED flashlight with white and red illumination modes, making it suitable for night running and emergency situations.
One of the biggest highlights of the Cheetah 2 Ultra is its advanced offline navigation system. The smartwatch supports locally stored full-color topographic and contour maps, allowing users to navigate trails without requiring network connectivity. Amazfit claims map rendering speeds are 2.5 times faster, while map refresh speeds are up to 12 times faster than previous implementations.
The watch also introduces enhanced trail running analytics, including slope difficulty visualization, gradient-aware effort calculations, and advanced route management. Its Hybrid Training system helps athletes monitor fatigue, recovery, and training volume, while BioCharge energy monitoring converts recovery metrics into actionable daily readiness insights.
Storage has been increased to 64 GB, allowing users to store extensive map data and more than 100 hours of audio content directly on the watch. The larger 780 mAh battery delivers up to 30 days of typical usage and up to 60 hours of GPS operation in accurate GPS mode.
Both smartwatches run Zepp OS and feature Zepp Flow AI voice control, Bluetooth calling support, Amazon Alexa integration, 170+ workout modes, comprehensive health tracking, and 5 ATM water resistance.
