Archos launches new Platinum series of budget tabs

Archos, the tablet manufacturing company which is known for its budgeted tablets with high end specification, is back with its new Platinum Series.


The new Archos Platinum series consists of three tablets with similar specs but varying screen sizes. The series has all its devices running on a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with 2 GB of RAM. All the devices come with dual cameras, a rear camera and also a front camera.

The Archos Platinum series is equipped with an 8 core GPU thus providing good graphics quality. Also the High definition IPS display gives it a good feel. The tablets are powered by the Android Jelly Bean OS.

The Archos 80 Platinum is an 8 inch tablet with a 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. The device is priced at just $199 while the Archos 97 Platinum, which is priced at $299, has a 9.7 inch display with a powerful 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. The Archos 116 Platinum is an 11.6 inch tablet with display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is priced at $349.
