As per reports, Asus will roll out Android Jelly Bean updates to its Transformer Pad TF300. The tablet would be the first non Nexus device to receive the Android 4.2 updates. The Nexus maker claims that the updates would be distributed over the air (OTA) to its US customers. The free updates from Asus will begin in the USA today followed by other local countries shortly.

The Transformer Pad TF300 is one of the most successful tablet from Asus and hence got first preference for the Android Jelly Bean update. The other tablets from Asus, Transformer Pad Infinity, MeMo Pad Smart 10″, and MeMo Pad would that upgraded to Android 4.2 by the second quarter of the year. The jelly Bean update for the device allows each user of TF300 to keep their own settings, apps, and app data.
