ASUS ZenFone 3 series smartphones launching in India on August 17

ASUS is all set to bring its ZenFone 3 series smartphones in India. ASUS unveiled the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe back in May this year, and now, ASUS will be launching them in India on 17th August.

ASUS has started sending out press invites to the media for its Z3NVOLUTION event held on 17th August. The invite doesn’t give much information about the phones that will be launched, but, “Z3NVOLUTION” pretty much confirms that ASUS will be launching its ZenFone 3 series on that day. The invite also says “Evolution is good. Evolution signifies change. Evolution creates a better world.“.

Talking about the ZenFone 3, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC which is paired with 3/4 GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. It sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super IPS+ display and packs a 3000 mAh battery. There’s also a 16 MP ASUS TriTech primary camera at the back along with fingerprint scanner and an 8 MP secondary camera at the front. The 3 GB RAM variant comes with 32 GB of internal storage whereas the 4 GB RAM variant comes with 64 GB of internal storage.

ASUS ZenFone Ultra

Coming to ZenFone 3 Ultra, it has Snapdragon 652 SoC and 4 GB RAM under the hood along with Adreno 510 GPU. It boasts off a 6.8-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display which is backed by a massive 4600 mAh battery. The fingerprint scanner is housed on the home button and the device comes with 23 MP ASUS TriTech rear camera and an 8 MP front camera along with 128 GB internal storage.

ASUS ZenFone Deluxe

Now talking about the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, it is the most powerful device among all these three smartphones. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC which is paired with 6 GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. It sports a 5.7-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display which is kept on by 3000 mAh battery. At the back of the device is the fingerprint scanner along with 23 MP primary camera and has an 8 MP secondary camera on the front.

All these three smartphones sport a USB Type-C port and run on ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. ASUS unveiled a Snapdragon 821 powered variant of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe last month which is also expected to launch in India on 17th August.
