Firefox for Android sheds beta status, available for download now

So last week, Mozilla went on to tease a major an announcement for the Firefox for Android and it seems it is finally here.

Firefox-For-Android-Tease 

The Firefox browser for Android devices was until now available in a beta version but today it has shed the ‘beta’ moniker and is available as version 14.0 for all devices with Android 2.2 and above.

 
Firefox Web Browser Features:
  • SPEED: Get to the Web and find what you’re looking for fast.
  • SYNC: Access your desktop browser history, bookmarks, passwords and tabs from any device.
  • ADVANCED SECURITY: Control your privacy, security and how much data you share on the Web
  • AWESOME SCREEN: Browse your favorite sites with minimal or no typing.
  • ADD-ONS: Customize your browser just the way you like it.
New features in this version are for PHONES only:
  • Faster start-up and page load times
  • Flash support
  • Redesigned user interface
  • Better text readability through font size inflation
  • New panning/zooming architecture implemented for better touch responsiveness
  • Significant performance advancements
  • New start page
  • Updated minimum system requirements to Android 2.2+ for optimized experience
  • Additional locale support
There are also a few known issues:
  • Flash not supported on tablets and non-ICS Tegra 2 devices
  • Galaxy Note stylus issues with keyboard
  • Find in page not supported
