HMD has expanded its HMD Vibe 2 5G smartphone lineup in India with the launch of a new 6 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage variant. The company says the new configuration has been introduced in response to strong consumer demand following the launch of the smartphone’s 4 GB RAM variants last month.
The HMD Vibe 2 5G was originally introduced in India in 4 GB RAM + 64 GB Storage and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage configurations, which went on sale from 26th May. The latest 6 GB RAM model is aimed at users seeking enhanced multitasking capabilities and additional memory for everyday usage. The smartphone continues to offer the same hardware package, including a large 120 Hz display, a 50 MP rear camera, Android 16, and a massive 6,000 mAh battery.
The HMD Vibe 2 5G features a 6.745-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate designed to deliver smoother scrolling, animations, and gaming experiences. The device carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance while maintaining a practical design that includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Powering the smartphone is the 6nm UNISOC T8200 octa-core SoC paired with up to 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 GB Storage that further expands by up to 1 TB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 16 out of the box, and HMD promises two years of quarterly security updates.
For photography, the device is equipped with a 50 MP rear camera accompanied by a secondary camera and an LED flash. On the front, it features an 8 MP selfie camera for video calls and social media content. The smartphone packs a large 6,000 mAh battery with support for 18 W fast charging. HMD also bundles the charger inside the retail box.
