As expected the Honor 9 is now official. And the device is mostly what we expected courtesy of the rumors. The device build quality is quite premium. Moreover, The Honor 9 has some pretty looking color options like Blue, Amber Gold, Gray and Black.
Honor 9 carries on the glossy finish of the Honor 8 in a 3D Metal and glass body and brings the dual camera with it. The fingerprint scanner is no more at the back of the device. It is moved to the front. The back of the device has a great curve at the edges making it very comfortable to hold.
In terms of specs, the Octa-Core Kirin 960 was expected to be present in the device and Huawei has not failed in it. The device comes with either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM depending on the model you choose. Huawei also has Android Nougat loaded on the device with its own EMUI 5.1 skin on top. The mid-ranger houses a 3,200 mAh battery inside with support for fast charging.
The dual camera consists of a 20-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor with laser autofocus and 2x zoom. We are sure it will be an excellent option for photography enthusiasts. The rumors of a Hi-Fi audio chip were also true as Huawei integrated an AKM Hi-Fi audio chip and also included a pair of Monster earphones to satisfy audiophiles.
Coming to the price, the Honor 9 has a 4 GB/64 GB Variant priced at 2299 yuan (US$ 338 / Rs. 21780 approx.), a 6 GB/64 GB variant priced at 2699 yuan (US$ 397 / Rs. 25,580 approx.) and the 6 GB/128 GB variant priced at 2999 yuan (US$ 441 / Rs. 28,415 approx.). The device is available to order in China as of now and will hit the shelves on June 16.
