Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleLava International has partnered with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to distribute 20,941 smartphones to Anganwadi workers across the state. The initiative is aimed at digitally empowering frontline healthcare workers and enhancing last-mile service delivery under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) framework.

LAVA x Uttar Pradesh Govt

The rollout was officially launched at Lok Bhavan, Lucknow in March 2026 under the theme “Suposhit Uttar Pradesh, Sashakt Bharat.”

Key Attendees:

  • Yogi Adityanath
  • Baby Rani Maurya
  • Leena Johri
  • Sarneet Kaur Broca

Around 1,000 Anganwadi workers attended the launch event.

Under this collaboration, Lava has supplied devices from its LAVA Storm Play Series, optimized for field operations.

Key Software Integrations:

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Remote security and device control
  • Supervisor Monitoring App: Real-time oversight of field activities
  • State-Specific Integrations: Customized interfaces for Uttar Pradesh’s WCD systems

These enhancements ensure seamless alignment with ICDS and Women & Child Development (WCD) frameworks.

The initiative shifts Anganwadi operations from manual processes to digital workflows.

Key Capabilities for Workers:

  • Real-time health data entry (maternal and child metrics)
  • Digital attendance and task tracking
  • Nutrition monitoring and stock tracking
  • Faster reporting to centralized dashboards

This enables data-driven decision-making and early identification of health and nutrition risks.

The initiative aligns with the Uttar Pradesh government’s goal of strengthening welfare program delivery, reducing dependency on manual record-keeping, and bridging the digital divide in grassroots healthcare. At the same time, it highlights Lava International‘s growing role in public sector digital transformation.

Commenting on the partnership, Lloyd D’souza, Chief Business Officer – Enterprise Business, Lava International Limited, said, “Digital transformation at the grassroots is not just about access to devices, but about building systems that work reliably at scale for those delivering essential services on a day-to-day basis. We are equally delighted and proud to collaborate with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to further their mission of enabling digital transformation through Anganwadi workers. This initiative is a testament of our ability to design and deliver technology solutions tailored for real-world public sector needs, combining hardware, software and on-ground understanding. We remain committed to supporting large-scale, inclusive digital adoption across Bharat.”
