After starting pre-bookings for its flagship device a week back for a deposit of Rs. 5000, Micromax has today officially announced the Micromax Canvas 4 in Delhi. The device has however managed to elude the spectators for quite time now.
The Micromax Canvas 4, with support for Dual SIM, Dual Standby, has a 5 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor along with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
The aluminium casing for the Micromax Canvas 4 uses CNC technology which can be operated with gloves on your hand, just like the Nokia Lumia 920. The device has an unique ‘Blow a Kiss to Unlock’ feature.
The Micromax Canvas 4 is equipped with two powerful cameras – a 13 MP auto focus camera with LED flash and features like anti-shake, face detection and effects library. Besides that there is also a 5 MP front facing camera for high quality video chats. The device runs on the latest Android version and packs in a 2000 mAh battery. The device is currently available only in white colour and priced at Rs. 17999.
Also to provide the best service to its Canvas 4 customers, Micromax has announced an exclusive service wherein the device would be repaired within seven working days failing which the company would provide a brand new device for no extra charges. This is the first if kind service to be introduced in India.
The Micromax Canvas 4 was opened for pre-bookings on June 28 for Rs. 5000 and managed to get a whopping 11500 bookings of which 4000 bookings were done within 24 hours without even revealing the actual price or specifications. Customers who have pre-booked the device can now pay the balance amount within a week’s time to get their device or have their advance amount refunded.
