Micromax is all set to launch the new YU Yureka Black tomorrow i.e on 1st June 2017. We received the media invite with a tagline “Black ain’t for all. But, YOU are special“. The invite also contains the outline of YU Yureka in Black color.
It is confirmed that the YU Yureka Black will be Flipkart exclusive as seen in a video teaser. The company teases its launch on Twitter with several tweets using hashtag #BlackisBack. One of them says “Black is for eternity. Black is forever. Coming soon. #BlackisBack“.
This is the new Yureka in black color with a completely new design. It isn’t just a color variant of the old YU Yureka, but a whole new phone. YU Yureka was previously launched back in December 2014 and it was the first YU smartphone to adopt the CyanogenMod operating system.
There aren’t any further details about the phone and its specifications as of now. However, we expect that the phone to be in a matte black color as well as expect to feature a metallic unibody with a fingerprint scanner at the back. That’s what we can guess from the image they shared on their Twitter account.
A few weeks ago, Micromax planned to shut down its sister company YU Televentures due to lack of value and also due to Cyanogen Inc., which provides Cyanogen services to YU smartphones, ending its operations. But, that’s the last thing the Micromax would want to happen to YU Televentures. YU has a total of 9 smartphones in a two-year span with the latest smartphone YU Yunique launched back in August 2016.
Hoping the next smartphone from YU would be as interesting as the Chinese ones controlling the smartphone market. Having said that, YU is still in the game.
