MTNL (Mumbai) today launched 20 Mbps extraordinary High-Speed Broadband with Triple Play service using VDSL technology first time in Mumbai telecom circle. MTNL VDSL Broadband comes with an combo plan and it will be Mumbai’s first 20 mbps the fastest Broadband service connection which is specially tailored for corporate houses and it comes at monthly rental of Rs.9000 with Free Downloads of 18 GB per month. The VDSL Combo plan offers up to 20 Mbps download speeds (10 to 20 Mbps) within the distance of 1 Km from the respective telephone exchange. The new VDSL Combo Plan will be quite useful for corporate & business houses that may also use it as backup of their Internet Leased Line.
The VDSL or VHDSL (Very High Bitrate DSL), on the other hand, is the next-generation technology which is capable of supporting high bandwidth applications like HDTV.

MTNL Triband (Broadband) Internet service also offers up to 4 Mbps speed to its customers with existing ADSL plans in Mumbai. The new VDSL Broadband service will offer twelve times faster from this speed and will help Broadcasting HDTV which requires higher bandwidth than the normal 8 Mbps.
