With the citizens of India getting very conscious about insurance, more and more insurance plans are available from various insurance companies. While life insurance, vehicle insurance are very common, New India Assurance along with Nokia has announced insurance plans for mobile handsets.
Under the new partnership by Nokia India and the New India Assurance (NIA), the customers of Nokia can avail affordable and wide-ranging insurance plans to protect them against handset damage and even loss of handset.
The various damages covered under the insurance plans include thefts, burglary, malicious acts. Not only that, even damage found after the expiration of warranty period would be covered under the insurance plans.
The plans start with a minimum insurance amount of Rs. 50. The premium would be just 1.25 percent of the original purchase value of the handset. Also for an additional Rs. 50 customers can avail Value added services like free pickup and drop service, cashless service, standby devices and chargers.
The insurance plans can be availed for all Nokia devices purchased at Nokia Branded Retail stores from March 14th. So are you going to insure your handset or just hope that your handset doesn’t get damaged?
