Reliance Jio opens up Jio Prime Enrollment service; Launches new data plans

With Reliance Jio all set to charge users from April 1, 2017 for services, the operator has now opened registration for the Jio Prime enrolment service and also revealed its new data plans.

Reliance Jio has announced that the Jio Prime enrolment service would be available to its existing and new Reliance Jio customers starting from today. The enrolment service, which has an annual membership fee of just Rs. 99, would be open till March 31.

The Jio Prime enrolment service would offer existing Jio subscribers extension of the Jio Happy New Year Offer till March 31, 2018. Additionally, users would also get free access to Jio’s suite of apps including JioCinema and JioTV.

Additionally, Reliance Jio has also launched new tariff plans. The plans, which range between Rs. 19 and Rs. 9999, are available for both its Jio Prime and non-Prime subscribers. Regardless of the plan, all Reliance Jio customers can avail unlimited free local and STD voice calls with free national roaming. Additionally, all users are entitled to free unlimited data during Jio Happy hours (2 AM to 5 AM).

The basic plan starts at Rs. 19 with just one-day validity. The plan offers 100 MB data to regular users and 200 MB data to Jio Prime users.

The Rs. 49 plan comes with three days’ validity. The plan offers 300 MB data to regular users and 600 MB data to Jio Prime users.

The Rs. 96 plan comes with seven days’ validity. The plan offers 600 MB data to regular users. However, Jio Prime users would be offered 7 GB data but with a daily FUP limit of 1 GB.

The basic monthly plan starts at Rs. 149 with 28 days’ validity. The plan offers 1 GB data to regular users and 2 GB data to Jio Prime users.

The much-talked about Rs. 303 monthly plan comes with 28 days’ validity. The plans offer 2.5 GB data to regular users. However, Jio Prime users availing this plan would continue to be on the Jio Happy New Year offer thereby getting unlimited internet access but with a daily FUP limit of 1 GB after which speed would be reduced to 128 Kbps.

The Rs. 499 plan comes with 28 days’ validity. The plan offers 5 GB data to regular users and unlimited data to Jio Prime users. However, there would be a daily FUP limit of 2 GB after which speed would be reduced to 128 Kbps.

Jio has launched a series of truly unlimited data plans with no FUP limit. The packs are priced at Rs. 999, Rs. 1999, Rs. 4999 and Rs. 9999 and come with 60 days, 90 days, 180 days and 260 days validity respectively.
