Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) go on sale in India

After unveiling the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones at CES 2017 earlier this year, Samsung launched these smartphones in India earlier this month. Well, both these smartphones are now available for purchase in the country.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

Both these smartphones are successors to last year’s Galaxy A5 (2016) and A7 (2016), and, they also have some good improvements over their predecessors. Also, both these smartphones have similar specifications with the only difference being the display size and battery capacity. The Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with a 5.2-inch display and 3000 mAh battery whereas the Galaxy A7 (2017) ships with a 5.7-inch display and 3600  mAh battery.

Other specifications on both these devices include Exynos 7880 octa-core processor, 3 GB RAM, Full-HD Super AMOLED display, 32 GB internal storage, 256 GB expandable storage, dual SIM support with 4G LTE, 16 MP camera at the back and front, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, USB Type-C port and IP68 dust and water-resistance. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the front of both the devices which is housed on the physical home button.

Both these smartphones are currently available for purchase on Samsung India’s E-Store and will also be available for purchase through offline retail stores across the country starting today. As for the price, the Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with a price tag of ₹28,990 whereas the Galaxy A7 (2017) is priced at ₹33,490.
