Right after the press images of the Galaxy S4 Active were leaked, Samsung has officially announced the device, days after unveiling the Galaxy S4 Mini.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has a 5 inch 1080p display. The device is powered by a 1.9 GHz quad core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The rugged version of the Galaxy S4 is IP67 certified for water and dust protection, which is resistant up to three feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has an 8 MP rear camera along with a front facing 2 MP camera. The phone is run on the Android Jelly Bean. The device packs in a 2600 mAh battery. The phone will be launched in US and Sweden in Urban Grey, Dive Blue and Orange Flare colour options.
