There are various gateways that let you send free text (SMS) messages from your mobile phone like Way2SMS, Fullness, Site2SMS, etc. For that you usually have to visit the webpage, compose the message and then send it.
Well now there is an app on the BlackBerry platform that directly sends your SMS through these gateways for free.
The Free Message(SMS) India application for BlackBerry allows you to send free SMS to any mobile number in India. The app only uses your data connection, saving on your expenses. Also the GPRS data usage is pretty low as all the heavy processing is handled on an external server. The app currently supports Way2SMS, FullOnSMS, Site2SMS, 160By2 and YouMint gateways and more gateways will be added later.
