Skype has announced that it is offering free international calls to landlines and mobile phones in Tamil Nadu for people to reach victims in the flood-stricken areas. However, this wouldn’t be applicable for calls to special, premium service and non-geographical numbers.

Speaking about the initiative, Skype, said, “Since we don’t know the full extent of the devastation, we want to help provide people with alternative methods of communication to reach friends and family in the region during this difficult time.”
